Have a RIPP Powered Jeep Wrangler? Reside at higher elevations? Want a little more power? Then this Altitude Pulley and Belt kit for various vehicles is for you.

The smaller pulley and belt kit will deliver 9-11psi at sea-level on your Jeep Wrangler 4.0 3.8 or 3.6 equipped with a RIPP Supercharger system. This pulley is designed for high elevation clients to correct the superchargers impeller speed to offset elevation boost loss. At sea level it spools the blower faster and with more authority. Best of all as long as you have your Diablo tool up to date, it can be driven safely from sea level to high elevation without tune issue or need to switch back. You can always ask tuning@rippmods.com before you install and they can direct you in the right direction for tune updates.

Made from 6061 billet aluminum will deliver faster spool up at sea level. This unit can be used with stock internals but Diablo tuner and larger injectors (GEN2) electronics and an intercooler are a must

    Tech tips: 

    *When removing the supercharger's pulley; note the orientation of all washers, spacers, and caps. Ensure they are assembled in the same direction. (take a picture before disassembly and after to document the order and direction of hardware) Improper assembly could lead to loosening of hardware. 

    Belts and pulleys should be serviced every 45-50k miles. 

    Torque spec. for pulley bolt is: 25ftlbs. 

    Standard thread, (not reverse thread)

    Clear debris from pulleys and belts with a wire bush and or sand paper.

Added Ripp Supercharger three years ago to my 16 JKR. Works awesome, no more lagging in power in deep soft sand, lots of fun on the highway. Haven’t put the altitude pulley on yet but hopefully I’ll notice the difference in power and in the high desert when I get round to it. Thanks Brian

I bought fuel injectors supposedly made for my jeep "2012 wrangler rubicon 3.6 jk " and I installed them and my engine was shooting fire out of the fuel injectors because they are much shorter than the OWM ones they were suppost to be drop and go injectors!!!! I have to take apart the entire engine top end again and pay another $3000 for labor to install the correct sized fuel injector and to see what damage the short ones I was promised that they would fit have caused!!! Up until now I have promoted Ripp supercharger and several members in our Cen-Cal truck and jeep club have purchased one! And I... am yhe one with the bad experience!!! Not fair! And the extra money and missed trail ride this weekend is heartbreaking...😮‍💨😪😭

Altitude Pulley and Belt Kit for RIPP Supercharged Jeep Wranglers

Purchased a 3.35" pulley and belt for the kit on my WK2 that came with a 3.5" pulley. I drive/live between 4500 and 5000 feet above sea level so I needed a boost bump. RIPP should advertise the additional options they have so others know what they have access to in addition to JK altitude pulleys!

The addition of the altitude pulley and belt have been a game changer for my Jeep. I am the second owner of the Jeep with the ripp supercharger system already installed. The Jeep has always run rough when cold, missing and sluggish until it warmed up. I also live in an area where we can go from 1100 ft to 3800 ft in 30 mins. I was having a discussion with a ripp tech specialist and was telling him how the Jeep was running and he immediately asked about elevation and said I absolutely should be running the altitude pulley and belt. After the install, it’s been a night and day difference. The Jeep runs so much better with more air being moved and it gets into boost must quicker. I feel the Jeep is noticeably quicker. I wish I would have known to make this switch earlier! Very Happy!

Altitude Pulley and Belt Kit for RIPP Supercharged Jeep Wranglers

Ripp supercharger works good if you want to go drag racing not very good for every day driving. I had to buy the "High Altitude pulley and belt kit at an added expense so it would make power at lower rpms normal highway speeds the High Altitude pulley should be on every supercharger Ripp sells in my opinion. PS. I Own a 2009 JK wrangler with a manual transmission.
