An oil catch can will increase performance of any engine. The 3.6L Pentastar found in your V6 Mopar vehicle will greatly benefit from the use of a catch can as they are notoriously known for excessive blow-by gas. Keep in mind, not all catch cans are created equal and though there are many designs similar the RIPP Catch Can System shines above all the rest. This is a BOLT-ON system made for the 3.6l engine.

Here's why they're beneficial to your engine and how a catch can works.
Your engine relieves pressure from the crankcase through a hose that connects the valve cover to the intake manifold. This pressure is commonly referred to to as "blow-by". The ventilation of blow-by gases allow oil and gunky condensation into the intake manifold. This actually leads to more serious issues like contaminated intake air. Contaminated air is when the crank case fumes mix with clean air and lower the fuel's octane. This leads to pre-ignition or pinging. This will cause issues with tuning and overall engine power. Even worse these contaminants will start to build up inside the intake runners and valves. When left unchecked this buildup can hurt fuel economy, horsepower, and can even cause misfires.

Adding a catch-can will prevent oil and other contaminants from causing buildup inside your engine. Essentially the catch can will act as a collection system. Installed into the crank-case ventilation hose to "catch" the contaminants before they can reach the intake manifold. The RIPP catch-can is focused on filtration and baffling. The RIPP Catch Can System (RCCS) has an integrated baffle plate and a Sintered Bronze Filter which acts as a liquid/fume separator creating an extra layer of filtration. This cleans the fumes as they pass from that can into your intake. Super easy install. The can and hoses are very high quality. Absolutely love how it looks under the hood.
Fab'd an aluminum bracket that mounts inside the front driver fender. Then mounted the catch can on the bottom of this bracket. Makes for a much more attractive and sturdier install.
Great product and easy install and great detailed instructions. Super good quality. Definitely recommend.

Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT Catch Can - Air/Oil Separator
I have a 2023 Gladiator Mojave. I like the oil catch, can it is a high quality piece. I like the dip stick also. the dip stick is black which makes it harder to see the can's oil level and requires you lay it on paper towel and see where the oil level is. OK, I get it. The supplied mounting spacer should be angled on top to make up for the downward pitch of the mounting surface, as, while installed, the catch can isn't level. I cut a rubber piece i had laying around instead and now its level. Drove 1000 miles and didn't budge. The only other thing is the return or output tube back to the engine connector. on my application the lock mechanism sits at 6 oclock when installed. I could get it to 12 o'clock but would stress the tube too much. may just be where i had to mount it for the Gladiator. Fast shipping and a nice precision piece. I'll keep it, for sure. Thank you.

Good, does the job. I wish the hoses were more pre built/formed for the 3.6 layout in the wrangler/gladiator. Hoses seem like a happy coincidence off of another platform—which works fine and is how Im judging my five stars, however doesn’t see particularly designed for the JL/JT platform.

This thing is catching all kinds of oil. I have it on 2 different Jeep Wrangler JL and it was at the bottom of the strainer at the 5,000 mile mark. Definitely worth every penny. Easy to install with all the correct fittings on the end of the hoses.
I've had some big issues with Ripp in the past but this is definitely the best catch can available so I have them another chance.... Be careful and do NOT follow the instructions or you will cut your PCV line when you don't need to. The new lines connect right to the factory connections. Also, the o-rings go on the can screw in connections.... Directions need a major update but glad it came with better lines.
Can hits the break booster. Going to have to unbolt it every time need to drain it. Dip stick is nice but if was like morrimoto set an drain hose be the ultimate design.
Can, coil packs and a AFE exhaust went in like they belonged. Perfect fit, and have picked up 2MPG. The design and install were so good, it was the decider on which supercharger system to use.
Works well. The hose clamps are junk and wouldn't tighten properly. Had to go buy new ones.
Some brief instructions would have been helpful to know which hose attaches where.
